TEACHING PHASE 2nd WEEK: 26.6.2017-30.6.2017

REFLECTION ON SCHOOL EXPERIENCE:
This week we got only 3 working days as there was a declared public holiday on monday in association with eid and wednesday was declared a holiday by Kollam collector due to heavy rainfall. Sreekala madam instructed me to complete structure and function of cell organelles from 1st unit for 8th standard and storage forms of glucose for 9th standard. So I planned to complete two lesson plans a day in both the classes. I could complete peer evaluation of other optional subjects in this week. Among the classes I observed Ancy's was the best.
CURRICULAR AND CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
This week, students of 8th standard were taught the following topics using activity method. Structure of animal and plant cells and function of cell organelles. 9th standard students were taught chemistry of photosynthesis, light and dark reaction, chemical changes of glucose in plants and different storage forms of glucose. Teaching aids such as charts showing the structure of plant and animal cells , structure of cell organelles and their function, chemical reactions in photosynthesis, chemical changes of glucose in plants were used based on the teaching manual. Daily diary and reflective journals were also done this week.
OVERALL REFLECTION ON CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE:
Students of 8th and 9th standards were taught 2 lesson plans each using charts and activity. 2 charts were prepared to teach in 9th standard and 4 charts were prepared for 8th standard students.
